Even though we, as a financial group, primarily focus on our immediate surroundings, we are just as interested in ensuring that everything we do is sustainable in a global perspective as well.
In 2018, SpareBank 1 SR-Bank played an active role in the creation of Global Compact Network Norway, which aims to strengthen society’s and businesses’ work within sustainability. Sustainability is promoted as a strategic focus area for the group. This means that sustainability must be an integrated part of our business.
Our sustainability strategy will clarify and guide our future work on this, in addition to supporting employees and managers in their decisions.
SpareBank 1 SR-Bank willsupport sustainable development and long-term value creation. We will continue to support the UN Sustainability Principles and make these part of our strategy, our culture and our daily work.
The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact within human rights, workers’ rights, climate and environment, and work against corruption and money laundering, will play a key role in our efforts in this area. This will ensure that what we do is sustainable at both a local and global level.
