Den 15. august offentliggjorde SpareBank 1 Nordvest sine planer om å gjennomføre en emisjon og søke om notering av bankens egenkapitalbevis på Oslo Børs.
SpareBank 1 Nordvest har sine røtter tilbake til 1835. Markedsområdet er primært Møre og Romsdal. Fordelingen næring/personmarked er 30 % / 70 %. I 1999 ble banken en del av SpareBank 1-alliansen, med mål om å styrke bankens selvstendighet og regionale forankring gjennom økt konkurranseevne, lønnsomhet og soliditet.
Bakgrunnen for emisjonen er SpareBank 1 Nordvests ambisjoner om ytterligere vekst, og emisjonen vil styrke bankens kjernekapital for å sikre denne veksten. Vi ser frem til å få enda flere kunder, ansatte og andre engasjerte med som eiere. Noteringen på Oslo Børs vil gi våre eiere tilgang til en markedsplass for sine investeringer. Noteringen gjør også at vi enklere kan hente inn ny egenkapital ved behov for eksempelvis å finansiere videre vekst.
