Tenancy Deposit Account

Are you renting out a property or moving into one? A deposit account helps protect both parties.

The landlord can open the account in our Online or Mobile Bank

Neither party can withdraw money independently.

The deposit amount may not exceed six months' rent.

This Is Why You Need a Tenancy Deposit Account

If the tenant fails topay the rent, a deposit account provides financial security for the landlord.

Damage beyond normal wear and tear may be covered by the deposit.

The money cannot be released without d without the necessary approvals or legal basis.

Both parties must be customers
The landlord starts the application in our Online or Mobile Bank
The tenant signs digitally
Once the application has been started, the tenant receives a secure signing link by email and text message. The agreement can be signed using BankID.
Final approval from both parties
After the initial signing process, both landlord and tenant must confirm the account agreement in our Online or Mobile Banking. The account becomes active when both signatures have been completed. The deadline for signing is within 14 days.

At the end of the tenancy, the landlord and tenant should inspect the property together and confirm its condition before requesting the release of funds. You can use a standard returnal form to ensure the procedure.
If the property is returned as agreed, the landlord can instruct the bank to return the deposit to the tenant.
If there are outstanding obligations, such as unpaid rent or documented damage, the landlord may claim all or part of the deposit in accordance with the tenancy agreement and applicable rules.
