Criteria for suppliers

Much of SpareBank 1 Østlandet’s procurement is carried out through the SpareBank 1 Bank Cooperation, which has its own procurement policy.  The bank cooperation's social responsibility requirements for suppliers also apply to SpareBank 1 Østlandet.  

This procurement policy requires that all purchasing agreements include a standard appendix on corporate social responsibility. The appendix sets requirements for the following core areas: Human rights, working conditions, the environment and reputable activities.

At a minimum, suppliers must satisfy and comply with local, national and international laws, regulations and principles, including provisions relating to wages, working hours, HSE (Health, Safety and the Environment), as well as the environment and anti-corruption measures.
